What is PAT testing?
PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing) is a health and safety requirement whereby electrical items are tested to ensure they are safe.

Portable equipment is more susceptible to damage than fixed electrical equipment and has direct human contact when being used. All businesses have an obligation to ensure the safety and welfare of their employees and periodical portable appliance testing establishes the ongoing safety of the electrical equipment.
